The School of Aquatic Food Products and Technology is one of the schools that constitute the Faculty of Fisheries of KUFOS. The major areas covered by the school are fish processing technology, biochemistry and microbiology. Teaching, research and extension activities related to post harvest of fish are the main activities of the school. Courses in fish processing, biochemistry and microbiology are being offered to students of B.F.Sc. degree programme.
In addition, the school provides them with facilities for undergoing in-plant training in commercial fish processing plants (RAWE) and Experiential Learning Programme. PG degree programmes of the school include M.F.Sc. in Fish Processing Technology and Ph.D. in Fish Processing Technology. The school is well-equipped to carry out teaching, training and research.
