About

Dr. Phiros Shah has obtained his M.Sc in Oceanography and Ph.D in Physical Oceanography under the Faculty of Marine Sciences, Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT). Before Joining KUFOS he had got opportunity to work at National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT), Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI). For the last ten years, he has been involved in areas of research pertaining to the Ocean, Atmospheric and Fishery Sciences. His area of expertise is in Upwelling and Downwelling phenomena over the Eastern Arabian Sea. During his tenure at National Institute of Ocean Technology, he has participated in open ocean cruises being the part of Bay of Bengal Tsunami Buoy deployment program. He has published articles in national and international peer reviewed journals.
