Served as a member of various committees such as a) Member, High power committee constituted by the Kerala State Governemnt in 2002 to look into various aspects of monsoon trawl ban in the coast of Kerala. b) Member, Working Group (fisheries), Kerala State Planning Board for 13th fiveyear plan. c) Member, Committee drafted the fisheries policy Government of Kerala d) Member, Academic Council, Kerala Agricultural University from 2009 to 2011. e) Chairman, Committee for setting Question Papers (Fisheries Science), Secondary School Leaving Certificate, Government of Kerala. f) Member in the panel of examiner- College of Fisheries, Mangalore, College of Fisheries, Tuticorin (TNFUS), University of Calicut and the Board of Vocational Higher Secondary School, Government of Kerala. g) Chairman, Committee for selecting the Best Fisheries Graduate of India (BFGI)during 2009-10 to 2010-11. 6. Life member of various professional bodies such as Asian Fisheries Society, Manila, Asian Fisheries Society Indian Branch, Mangalore, Marine Biological Association of India,Kochi, Society of Fishery Technologist (India),Cochin, Professional Fisheries Graduates Forum, Mumbai. 7. Served as the President of the Professional Fisheries Graduates Forum, Mumbai during the period December 2011 to March 2014.
