Joined as Director of Extension on Nov 23, 2021. Also in charge of the HOD of the Department of Fisheries Extension, Economics and Statistics, Faculty of Fisheries Science. Completed BFSc and MFSc from College of Fisheries, Kerala Agricultural University and Ph D from CUSAT. Joined as Asst. Professor (Fishery Extension) in College of Fisheries in 1999 and has more than 24 years of experience in teaching, research and extension. As part of the extension activities, transferred various technologies in aquaculture and fish processing to the farmers and fisherfolk through various projects funded by Govt. of Kerala. The RKVY funded external aided project “Samagramatsyagramam” implemented during the period 2010-14 which has significantly contributed in augmenting the fish production of the Panchayath, increasing the income of farmers,creating more employment opportunities and ensuring livelihood security. This project has been identified as a model project both at the State and National level. Innovative aquaculture techniques in Cage Aquaculture and Pen Culture of commercially important cultivable fishes has been standardized by conducting trial culture at the field level with farmer participation. Presented many papers in national and international conferences and published articles in various peer reviewed journals.
