Associate Professor and head Dept. of Fisheries Resource Management. 29 years Teaching and research experience in Fish Taxonomy, fish stock assessment, Fishery Biology and fishery management.  Served as as a Member, Bay of Bengal Large Marine Ecosystem- Hilsa fisheries assessment working group, Thailand  Attended international training on Fisheries data collection and analysis at Wageningen International, Wageningen University, and the Netherlands with NUFIC fellowship.  Attended Fish stock assessment, population dynamics, population models, fishery management training at BOBLME, Bangkok, Thailand.  Attended 11th session of Indian Ocean Tuna Commission(IOTC)working party on Bill fishes at La Reunion, France 18-22 September 2013  Visited Netherlands, Belgium, Bangladesh, Myanmar and Thailand
