RIGHT TO INFORMATION (RTI)

Citizens can seek information regarding the activities of Kerala University of fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS) by submitting a written request with details like Name, address, contact telephone number and particulars of the information sought. The reason for seeking information need not be given.  The duly signed request may be addressed to the Public Information Officer, Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies, Panangad P.O., Kochi,Kerala, India. Pin 682 506 along with the required fee of Rs.10/-.

Mode of payment of fee:
1. Direct cash remittance at the University Cash Counter.
2. Demand Draft in favour of the Registrar, Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies, Preferably from State Bank of Travancore, payable at SBI, Vyttila branch
3. Indian Postal Order in favour of the Registrar, Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies.
Note:      Payment by any other mode, viz., Money Orders, Court Fee Stamps etc. will not be accepted.

How to make a request for information under the RTI Act through online?

  • The application fee must be paid online through SBI Collect using the below link
    • RTI Fee Payment Link
    • In the Payment page select payment category as RTI Fees and proceed with the payment. Download the payment receipt for attaching with application
  • The RTI application request shall be written in English or Malayalam or in the official language of the area in which the application is made.
  • The RTI application and the downloaded payment receipt must be forwarded to the email rti@kufos.ac.in
  • The full name, address, particulars of information required and other relevant references, if any, are to be clearly specified in the application.
