KUFOS Observes World Antibiotic Awareness Week
The Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS), in collaboration with ICAR-CIFT, is organizing events to commemorate World Antibiotic Awareness Week (WAAW) from 18th to 24th November 2024. The theme for this year’s observance is “Educate, Advocate, Act Now”.
As part of the program, the Department of AAHM, Faculty of Fisheries Science, will host a Quiz and Collage Competition on 21st November 2024 at the Seminar Hall from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Adding to the awareness efforts, Dr. Greeshma S.S., Scientist from the Microbiology, Fermentation, and Biotechnology Division of ICAR-CIFT, will deliver a talk on Antimicrobial Resistance, a critical global health issue.
The initiative aims to educate students and faculty about responsible antibiotic use and the dangers of resistance, emphasizing the importance of immediate action to combat this growing threat.
