The Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies has organized cultural events during dates given below,

◈ 31/01/2019 – Union Inauguration and University Day Celebrations

Union activities begun on a colorful note. College day celebrations marked the beginning of Union activities. Film director Jude Anthony Jose inaugurated the ceremony. GCDA Chairman V Saleem and other eminent personalities attended the ceremony and famous violinist Bala prasad performed for KUFOSIANS.

◈ 06/09/2019 – Onam Celebration

Onam festival unites everyone from all communities in Kerala irrespective of their religion and caste. KUFOS welcomed the ONAM with the grand celebration of PONNONAM 2019. A range of activities from onapattu to uriyadi added spice to the festive mood.

◈ 23/09/2019 to 28/09/2019 – University Arts festival ‘Varnika 2019’

The purpose of the Celebration of the Arts Day is to highlight our students’ creative ambition and drive and to give them a chance to showcase their hard work and inspiration. Since creativity and innovation do not come in a single form or medium, our showcase highlights student work from a diverse range of genres, including music, poetry, theatre, visual art and more at the Celebration of the Arts Day. College Union organized and conducted the mega event ‘Varnika (Kalashika) 2019’ for the benefit of studens abd staff of KUFOS. Cine Artist Anarkali Marakkar Honble Vice Chancellor, Hon’ble Registrar were the eminent personalities who attended the inaugural and valedictory functions of the arts festival.

◈ 25/06/2022 – College Day and Union Inauguration

Union activities began with the inaugural program of the elected student union and the swearing in of the student representatives. Registrar B. Manoj Kumar inaugurated the function. The presence of representatives like film actress Mrs. Femina George and MLA Mrs. Dhalima Jojo made the venue more memorable. DJ Savyo organized a grand DJ party for the students. Apart from this, there were also cultural programs by the students.

◈ 01/09/2022 – Onam celebration

Onam, the main festival of Keralites, was celebrated in the campus with all its splendor. KUFOS welcomed Onathappan with loud cheers as he rose to the accompaniment of Chendamela and Pulikali. Then local competitions were organized on the occasion of Onam. The Attapookalamatsaram and Mega Thiruvathira received a standing ovation.

◈ 01/11/2022 – Kerala Piravi Celebrations

The Kerala birth celebration was held on a grand scale in the campus with a combination of folk songs, poetry recitations and many other regional competitions. Honorable former Vice Chancellor Dr. K.Riji John inaugurated. Film stars including actress Vincy Aloysius attended the function and inaugurated the dance club.

◈ 21/11/22 to 25/11/22- University Arts Festival- “SWARAM”

KUFOS University Arts Fest was organized by Amogha Student Union in the name Swaram’22 for five days. KUFOS witnessed a total of 96 events with off-stage events on the first 2 days and on-stage events on the following 3 days. The days of Swaram brought fond memories of joy and excitement to the young minds of KUFOS. Arts Fest was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) M. Rosalind George. On the last day, film actor Mr. Unni Mukundan visited and greeted the students and organized a musical feast for the students of the union.
